Biography

Stephanie lives and works in London and Devon.

I am a sound artist and musician who creates sound installations and performances. I am interested in the sound of British industry, the sonic effects of the industrial revolution and the tension between humans and landscape.

My current project investigates the effects of the enclosures of the 18th and 19th centuries on our sonic landscape. How enclosure effected class-conciousness and how versions of enclosure exist in contemporary society.

My ambition is to make the political a sensory experience through sound installations, musical and vocal performance and to engage with local communities through my work.

I am a lecturer on the Fashion Communication BA at the University of Brighton
