The Making of the English Landscape

7 minutes 47 seconds

The Making of the English Landscape is a series of recordings that seeks to explore human voice and its relationship with landscape and space, both acoustically and metaphorically.

A woman and a man recite texts which have become the key components of my research and are the foundations of a larger scale piece. The voices speak separately, yet their is an implied relationship between the speakers, as each gives a perspective on humans and landscape.

Together they illustrate my concern with the tension between humans and landscape and mark a starting point for a larger scale piece.
